WHERE DO WE WORK?
We started in Guatemala because:
- Guatemala has the sixth-highest rate of chronic malnutrition in the world.
- Corn makes up about half of the caloric intake in rural diets.
- 59.3% of Guatemalans live below the national poverty line.
- Guatemala ranks in the top five countries in the world most affected by natural disasters, and in the top ten most vulnerable to climate change.
We’re expanding internationally to other countries with corn-based diets, high malnutrition rates, and low use of improved seed.
- Central America: El Salvador (2024), Honduras (2025), Haiti, and Southern Mexico (TBD).
- Sub-Saharan Africa: We are currently developing seeds for Eastern and Southern Africa.
Are you an NGO or government program working with at least five thousand smallholder farmers in one of these areas? Could you sustainably provide seeds to farmers?
