Agricultural Research Fellow

The Agricultural Research Fellow provides the unique chance to conduct data analysis, reporting, and other research-related work carried out by Semilla Nueva with an emphasis on improved varieties of Quality Protein Maize and other biofortified crops. The fellow will meet major players in the international as well as Guatemalan agricultural research communities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Data analysis & scientific reporting
  • Evaluating farmer-to-farmer testing with biofortified crops
  • Assisting with reports for internal and external stakeholders

International Communications Fellow

The International Communications fellow will assist with media, design, and outreach activities of the organization. This position provides the opportunity to:

  • Help hone the messaging and brand building of a rural development NGO
  • Partake in non-profit outreach and donor relationship building
  • Design graphics and other materials to promote Semilla Nueva and Plataforma BioFORT

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for social change who wants to strengthen their skills in design and communications. Preferred candidates will possess strong graphic design, writing, photography/videography, and social media skills. Proficiency in Spanish highly preferred but not necessary.

Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow

The Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow will assist with administrative, management, and accounting activities of the organization. This position will provide the opportunity to:

  • Understand the daily work involved in a rural development NGO
  • Participate in impact studies and analyze program data
  • Learn about the administrative and management side of non-profit work

Our team seeks a highly motivated individual with a passion for social change who wants to hone their skills in administration and development. Preferred candidates will possess data analysis skills. Intermediate to fluent Spanish required.
